I still remember the illustrations of the childrens book ‘Der Räuber Hotzenplotz’ (The robber Hotzenplotz) and so I was very excited to be part of the VFX team working on the 2022 movie adaptation.
I was responsible for the look development of the coat of ‘Petrosilius Zwackelmann’. The textures were created in Illustrator, Photoshop and Mari, shaders were done in Houdini for rendering in Arnold.
Additionally I created a set extension in the dungeon area of the castle where the fairy is kept. Based on photogrammetry reference I (re)built the set and extended the columns based on concept drawings.
